The Women’s flag football league convened one last time for playoffs! First to battle it out for third we’re Efrat and Paige’s Lakers, who both played phenomenally. The game started off with a great start for Paige’s Lakers securing a touchdown in the first half. But the Efrat team was competitive and determined, getting many interceptions and executing insane plays to take the win and end with a score of 37-6. Finally, the game that concluded the season, Bardak against Big Blue – Eden’s Eagles for the championship! With a quick turnover in the first drive as Bardak stole the ball from Big Blue, the young team was on a roll. Big Blue fought back as they have done all season, coming together as a team and scoring when it matters. Bardak also used incredible plays and teamwork to bounce back, and so the tit for tat touchdowns kept going until the Bardak touchdowns became double as frequent. Using the good momentum, Bardak continued, with the offense missing very few opportunities to advance, and the defense coming in to help with interceptions that carried the game. The Bardak dominance was nurtured to the end of the game, and so the Bardak team win the WAFI 2024 championship, with Bardak’s Aliza Shore also securing the MVP trophy, after showing great promise and exceptional leadership skills.
