WAFI IS BACK!

After an agonizing wait, the Women’s Jerusalem Flag league is back on the field for another action-packed season! This season, some familiar teams are making a come-back. The top three teams from last season: Efrat Club who took first, Big Blue who came in second, and Pizzeria Efrat in third are all returning to the fight with bigger and better teams, all thirsty to pluck the championship win. Newer teams make their debut as well, all of which contain a fresh blend of newbies and experienced players from previous years. But the anticipation of the season will be the Modiin Flames girls, fresh out of the high-school girls league, hoping to make an indent in the 16+ league this year. The star-studded team may be missing their quarterback and wide receivers as they take on the Austrian 17-and-under tournament, but the expectations from this team may prevail nonetheless. Each team is set to play twice against each other before reaching the playoffs in January, who will be able to come out on top? Returning champion teams, fresh younger teams? Or perhaps an underdog team? Stay tuned…
